With Universal Pictures releasing Halloween Ends, reportedly Jamie Lee Curtis’ last time playing erstwhile teenager (now grandma) Laurie Strode, the third release in the rebooted franchise was a box office hit and streaming smash with NBCUniversal making the movie available concurrently on the Peacock streaming platform.
As a result, Ends easily topped Terrifier 2 and the rebooted Hellraiser for the week ended Oct. 16, according to new data from JustWatch, the Berlin-based streaming platform that tracks the SVOD streaming habits of 20 million users across 100 markets, including the United States.
Among episodic programming, HBO Max’s “House of the Dragon” topped Netflix’s “The Witcher,” and Prime Video’s “The Lords of the Ring: The Ring of Power.”
