

Nielsen: Netflix’s ‘The Sandman,’ ‘Uncharted’ Move Atop Weekly Charts Through Aug. 14

Netflix original series “The Sandman” (1.38 billion minutes) and action movie Uncharted (1.18 billion) claimed the top two spots in Nielsen’s weekly chart of most-streamed content across U.S. household televisions through Aug. 14. The content bumped perennial chart topper “Stranger Things” to the third spot with 1.12 billion minutes streamed, down from 1.42 billion minutes the previous week.
Recent chart topper “Virgin River” dropped to No. 5 with 934 million minutes streamed — down from 1.38 billion in the previous week. The movie debut of Jamie Foxx, Dave Franco, Snoop Dogg’s action-comedy Day Shift generated 982 million to finish No. 4 and No. 2 on the weekly movie chart.
Disney/Pixar’s Lightyear, which topped all movies in its Disney+ streaming debut the previous week with 1.3 billion minutes, fell nine spots to No. 10 for the week with 700 million minutes consumed.
