

Prime Video’s ‘The Boys’ Tops Weekly Whip U.S. Streaming Originals Chart Through July 21

Prime Video’s “The Boys” continued its run atop the Whip Media chart of streaming originals among U.S. consumers for the week ended July 21.
Season four of the satirical superhero series debuted June 13 and wrapped up July 18. Based on the comic book of the same name, the series follows a team of vigilantes who combat superpowered individuals who abuse their powers.
Remaining No. 2 on the chart was the latest Disney+ “Star Wars” series “The Acolyte,” which debuted June 4 and wrapped up July 16. The series is set at the end of the High Republic era before the events of the main “Star Wars” films and follows a Jedi investigation into a series of crimes.
Entering the chart at No. 3 was “Cobra Kai,” season six of which debuted July 18. The series is based on the “Karate Kid” movies.
Falling from No. 3 to No. 4 on the chart was Hulu’s award-winning “The Bear.” Season three of the series about a chef trying to reboot his family’s restaurant premiered June 26.

Falling from No. 4 to No. 5 on the chart was “Presumed Innocent,” a legal thriller series from David E. Kelley and based on the 1987 novel by Scott Turow, which also had a film adaptation in 1990 starring Harrison Ford. The Apple TV+ series, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, premiered June 12 and has just been renewed for a second season.
