Shout! Factory Sets Feb. 1 DVD, Digital Release for Latest ‘Sesame Street’ Show

Shout! Factory and Sesame Workshop has set a Feb. 1 DVD and digital release date for Elmo’s World: All Around the Neighborhood.  

The film features two hours of “Elmo’s World” shorts, teaching preschoolers about doctors, newspapers, machines, factories, ramps, sports, getting dressed, bowling, veterinarians, nighttime, maps, blocks, transportation, measuring and photographers.

Included as an extra bonus on the DVD is “Grover’s Jobs Through the Years Mash-Up,” which revisits some of Grover’s best and silliest jobs over the years — from taxi driver to meteorologist.

Now in its 52nd season, “Sesame Street” is the country’s longest-running children’s television program and has received more Emmy Awards than any other show in television history.

 

Shout! Kids Sets February Home Release Date for ‘ Elmo’s World’ Compilation

Shout! Kids and Sesame Workshop have announced the Feb. 2 release of Sesame Street — Elmo’s World: Things Elmo Loves, consisting of episodes from the “Sesame Street” Elmo’s World segment, each exploring a different topic to spark kids’ curiosity.

The program will be available on DVD and for digital download from Shoutfactory.com or Sesameworkshop.org.

In addition to more than two hours of Elmo, the set also includes the full-length feature Elmo Loves You!, with celebrity appearances from Trisha Yearwood, John Legend, and R.E.M.

In Elmo’s World, the famed puppet discovers the world around him in segments covering such topics as emotions, grandparents, bus drivers, drawing, fruit, supermarkets, toys, hair, dog walkers and chickens.
