Top Television Executives from Lionsgate, Paramount and AMC Among Inductees Into Broadcasting+Cable Hall of Fame

Several top television executives will be inducted into the Broadcasting+Cable Hall of Fame, Class of 2025, in a Sept. 30 ceremony at New York’s Ziegfeld Ballroom.

They include Sandra Stern, vice chair of the Lionsgate Television Group; George Cheeks, co-CEO of Paramount Global and president and
CEO of CBS; and Kristin Dolan, CEO of AMC Networks.

Jimmy Pitaro, chairman of ESPN, will receive the Hall of Fame’s Chairman’s Award. Pitaro is responsible for ESPN’s portfolio of sports content, products and experiences across all of Disney’s platforms worldwide.

Sheryl Lee Ralph, who won an Emmy Award winner for her role in
Warner Bros. Television’s “Abbott Elementary,” will be honored with the Hall of Fame’s Humanitarian Award in recognition of her career as well as her philanthropic work via the DIVA Foundation.

The Hall of Fame’s “Iconic Show Award” will go to the daytime drama “Days of our Lives,” celebrating its 60th anniversary on air in November. Now streaming exclusively on Peacock, the series is one of the longest-running scripted television programs in the world. 

Melani Griffith, chief growth officer of Google Fiber, will be presented with the Technology Leadership Award.

Other honorees at the 33rd annual event, which pays tribute to influential executives in broadcast, cable and streaming television, include Drew Barrymore, host and executive producer of “The Drew Barrymore
Show” and co-founder of the production company Flower Films; Richard A. “Dick” Foreman, president of Richard A. Foreman Associates; Michael Gelman, executive producer of “Live with Kelly & Mark” for Disney/ABC; David Kline, president, Spectrum Reach, and EVP, Charter Communications; Mark Marshall, chairman, global advertising and partnerships, for NBCUniversal; Arthur Smith, chairman and CEO, A. Smith & Co. Productions and chairman,Tinopolis USA; Jon Steinlauf, chief U.S. advertising sales officer for Warner Bros. Discovery; and Rob Weisbord, COO and president, Local Media, for Sinclair Inc.
